FEES NEED TO BE PAID BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR TUITION WITH US
For new dancers: A TRAIL CLASS IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU PRIOR TO JOINING.
Please note that Dance Academy UK
offers a £5 discount if you attend more than one class and a further £5
discount if more than one person attends the Academy in the family.
Payment needs to be sent with the booking form to secure your place.
(10 weeks terms - 5 weeks either side of the half term)
ALL CHILDREN'S CLASSES = £55
GRADE 2 CLASSES onwards = £60
ALL ADULT CLASSES (13yrs+) = £65
Fees are adjusted according to commencement date

PLEASE READ **IMPORTANT**
Fees
- Fees must always be paid by set deadlines (this includes all class fees, costumes etc).
- Fees are still payable if a student is absent/on holiday
- For new students, the first week is a trial class, after this time fees are
totalled for the rest of the term to include all selected classes
- A fee discount is given when – A student attends 1 or more classes each week and/or 2 or more students from one family attend
- Four weeks notice is required, should a student wish to discontinue classes - fail to do so will require in a admin fee.
- Please write student name on the back of your cheque and place all fees in a named envelope
- Fees are reviewed each year
Safety, Security and Etiquette
- No jewelery is to be worn in class. Students are to attend classes in full uniform
- Dance Academy UK take no responsibility for belongings/valuables
- Please make use of the changing facilities provided
- Hair should be safely secured away from face whilst in class
- No food is to be consumed in the hall. Water only may be taken into class
- Injuries / ailments must be made clear to teacher prior to each class
- Please make sure students arrive for class on time. Being late can disturb classes that have already started
- Please ensure students are collected on time. No student under the age of 16 is to leave the premises alone
– they must wait with staff. If your child is to be collected by
someone else other than yourself please inform the teacher
- Classes are closed to viewing – unless specified at certain times of the year
- All students must fill out a registration form. If your
address or telephone number changes please let us know so we can update
our records
- Any accident students may have during class will be dealt
with accordingly and an accident form completed. For children, parents
will be made aware of any accidents
- As dance is a physical activity, it may at times, be
necessary for a teacher to touch students in order for them to gain the
correct position and alignment of their bodies. Sometimes it is
necessary, especially for kin-aesthetic learners, for the teacher to
place a leg, arm, or hip in the right place. Dance Academy UK does
operate a “hands on” teaching policy and it is essential that parent’s
of students inform the school in writing if you do not want a teacher
to touch your child during any of their classes
- Any complaints regarding the school and any of the teachers
or staff should be made in writing within 7 days and sent to Dance Academy UK. A response will be made within 30 days of receipt.
Examinations and Performance
- Examination / performance entry will only be considered if student attend coaching / rehearsal classes
- Regulation examination uniform/costumes should be worn/hired as required
- For dance examinations, hair ribbons are required to
accompany exam leotards. For ballet, hair should be secured in a ballet
bun as well as tap and modern – unless otherwise stated.
All shoes and socks/tights must be neat and clean
- All students should bring a (named) container with hair pins,
grips, brush, hair-bands and any other necessary personal items.
- No jewelery/body art is to be worn/displayed at any examination or performance
Terms and Conditions continued:
Dance Academy UK cannot accept late payment of fees.
It
is expected that all fees are paid in full for the complete term,
before the child/dancer commences lessons, as stated in the deadline
payment date.
This is so the office can prepare registers and
welcome those on the waiting list a place if a previous dancer has not
booked on.
In exceptional circumstances given in writing, Dance
Academy UK will allow a child no more than 2 lessons before payment.
After this time and with no payment the child or dancer will no longer
be able to attend the class.
We do have a large waiting list and we
do need commitment if you are going to attend the school, as the place
could be given to another dancer.
Both the booking form and fee must be sent to the office and not handed to the teacher

The form or fees on their own will not be accepted
If you wish to leave the school and you do not tell us or provide us with your one terms notice of leave and a letter of reasoning. Fail to do so, Dance Academy UK will charge you one terms fee to cover costs.
All
dancers must follow the rules of Dance Academy UK - this includes
wearing the correct uniform and dress to the high standard.
If a child is taking exams they must follow the rules given to them on issue.
