Frequently asked questions
How do i apply to join the school?
Either
by email or telephone. In order to attendone of our classes you will
need to complete a class booking form - this can be printed off our
timetable link at the side. from send the form in to the office and
prepare for your first exciting day with Dance Academy UK
We have done our Trail and would love to join - whats next?
After
your trial you will need to send in the remainder of your fees to the
dance office along with the booking form that your teacher or admin
have sent you. Please note that the fees will need to be sent before
returning to class again to ensure your place with the school.
Does my child have to wear the uniform? if so where can i get it?
Yes, we do ask that all dancers wear the correct attire. Images of what to wear for the class can be found on our online shop www.danceacademyukshop.com, here you can purchase all the clothing you need. Delivery is quick too.
Can I stay in the room with my child when they are in class?
We
do ask that parent s wait outside the room. We feel that dancers do get
distracted if their parent is watching, and we aim to increase the
child's confidence by dancing without the parent.
Nevertheless,
there is a fun "watching day" at the end of term for all the family and
friends to come in and see the children dance.
Does the school provide exams?
Yes,
the school is IDTA Accredited (Internation Dance Teachers Association)
and we hold 2 examinations per year. usually one in summer and one in
and winter. Exams are optional but we do encourage all dancers to enter
as examinations help with development and fulfillment the dancer needs
in training.
